An Investigation of Design and Simulation of Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine Using QBlade

Abstract The wind turbine blade design is important in obtaining an effective turbine. In the field of energy, it essential to understand and parameters affecting blades order obtain a successful design. However, most are dependent on each other this makes turbines challenging task. This research paper used QBlade software analyze optimize behavior small horizontal axis applies Blade Element Momentum Theory (BEM) study by calculating drag lift coefficients which were achieved dividing into 10 ascending segments. twist angle chord length optimized get highest performance. Among various airfoil types, SG-6041 type was selected build structure. calculated power coefficient almost 0.4, considered high given that under m/s average speed 1-meter conditions. Where all results logical reasonable, proven be reliable. also evaluates characteristics different locations Iraq find optimal promising Iraq.
